Nicole Richie has checked into a treatment facility to find out why she is unable to put on weight, the star’s publicist has confirmed.
“Nicole Richie has decided to undergo diagnostic treatment to determine why she’s not been putting on any weight,” said spokeswoman Nicole Perna in a statement yesterday.

Lionel Richie was so shook up over daughter Nicole’s dramatic weight loss over the last two years that he took her to a doctor.
“I stood in front of [the doctor], just like you and I now, looked him in the eyes, and I said ‘Is it anorexia?’ And he said ‘It isn’t anorexia,’” the musician tells the Swedish newspaper Expressen, in an article obtained by MSNBC’s The Scoop. (more…)
